Job Description:

The User Experience and Interface Designer and Developer will be responsible for creating UX and UI designs for chop.edu, related digital properties, and email communications. This fully remote position requires proficiency in content management systems like Drupal and WordPress, along with coding languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with SFMC. The role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure web and email communications align with CHOP Brand Guidelines and meet best UX and UI practices.

Job Requirements:

• Advanced knowledge of front-end code (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)
• Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Invision, Figma)
• Experience with email and content management software (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, MailChimp, Drupal)
• Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Working knowledge of SEO
• Familiarity with metadata tagging and code versioning tools
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and accessibility best practices

Education and Experience:

Required education is a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, UX, UI, or Programming. The ideal candidate should have at least four years of professional experience in web and email design and development, including two years of experience in designing UX across different platforms. A strong portfolio demonstrating user research, information architecture, and strategic UX thinking. Experience in using data analysis techniques for design is preferred.
