Job Description:

Are you passionate about storytelling through video editing? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where creativity meets purpose? Join our team at No Umbrella Media as an Assistant Video Editor and contribute to creating impactful video tools for a diverse range of clients, including nonprofit organizations. This is a junior level, year-round position. The successful candidate will create video tools for No Umbrella Media’s clients and support the Maine Outdoor Film Festival.

Tasks:

• Collaborate with the team to edit a variety of video tools
• Trim and organize footage, select prime clips efficiently
• Compile MOFF screening program sequences and trailers
• Assist in pre-production tasks, including developing scripts
• Occasionally provide support during studio shoots
• Maintain communication with teammates
• Assist with general upkeep of editing room, filming studio, and office areas

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of video editing experience
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively
• Experience with Windows and Mac OS

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

• Graphic creation and/or titling design experience
• Some experience with lights, cameras, and small production workflow
• Familiarity with various video formats and editing styles
• Event or Festival work experience
• Strong writing skills
• Marketing experience
