Job Description

As a graphic designer, you will be responsible for creating publications and apparel designs in line with the CHA branding guide. Your designs should effectively represent CHA’s mission, vision, and philosophy. You will also play a role in brand management.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have professional design experience and a strong skill set in Adobe Creative Suite. An understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory is essential. Excellent communication, organisational skills, and attention to detail are also necessary. A degree in graphic design, journalism, or a related field is preferred.

Supervisor Responsibility

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This role operates in a professional school setting, utilising standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time position, with up to 20 hours per week during the school year and 100 hours during the summer. Working days are determined by the school calendar and leave schedule from August to May.

Performance Standards

All tasks are to be completed efficiently and in a timely manner, adhering to Christian Heritage Academy’s values.

Physical Demands

This role involves navigating stairs regularly, speaking clearly and articulately, perceiving sounds, and having close visual acuity. It also requires extended periods of walking, sitting, and occasional lifting of at least 25 pounds.

Education

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required, with a preference for a Bachelor’s degree or higher in graphic design, journalism, or a related field.
