My name is Trudy and I am an artist. I am still in school, and working on building my portfolio to apply to art school this fall. I am a photographer, videographer, editor, and illustrator, and an overall creative. I am currently enrolled in an arts program at my local technical center where I study photography, videography, design, and illustration. I have an eye for detail and I’m a little bit of a perfectionist.

    uniE608 Black Cat
This is a music video I created to go with the song Black Cat by Broadcast. I used three settings, a cake being smashed in a field, a dancer in a white outfit against a black background, and the same dancer in a black outfit against a white background. I used an inverted filter to make each of the dancing sets imitate eachother. I liked the contrast of the smashing of the cake against the natural flow of the song. This highlights how people and dynamics can change abruptly, and how overwhelming that feeling is.
    uniE608 Bloodline
This is a experimental short film that I made in May 2024. I use the Triskelion, a Celtic symbol, to represent my families history. I hand drew and animated the growth of the triskelion to mimic a breath taken by lungs. The animation grows from a single triskelion, which represents one of my parents, to two, which is when they met. It then grows to four, one for each member of our family. I used bodily noises, such as air within the lungs and ringing in the ears, to represent the anxiety that family can bring. I ended the video with a photo progression to show that though the anxieties are present there is still comfort to be found within your family.
    uniE621 Beguilement
I used a Cannon EOS Rebel SL2 to attempt to capture the feeling of being led on and being aware of it. I often associate this feeling with the church, since as someone who grew up going to church every Sunday, I am still unsure what my stance is on religion. It's comforting to blindly believe in something, but there is something so beautiful about questioning the world around us. This piece won a Scholastic Art & Writing Silver Key award.
