Ciaran Byrne is influenced by early 80s Electro and Hip Hop as well as the Acid House revolution and the machines that caused it. Born in…Ciaran Byrne is influenced by early 80s Electro and Hip Hop as well as the Acid House revolution and the machines that caused it. In these early records, you can clearly hear a drum machine and a synth or two clunking along and you can probably even identify them if your a geek like Ciaran. Born in West Belfast in the early 70’s, around 2001 relocated to Devon, England where he now lives . These days Mr Byrne is busy in the studio writing Acid, Techno, Electro and Acid House music, fusing old school sounds with modern production techniques, keeping his vintage synths and drum machines in great shape. Computing since the first home computers became available, Sinclair ZX81, then the ZX Spectrum playing games and programming, this is where Ciaran was first exposed to electronic sounds and the concept of computer control. When Electro and Hip Hop arrived in 1982 it spoke volumes to Ciaran creating music with these machines, futuristic sounds, robotic voices and kids spinning on linoleum seemed like a different world to the war torn streets of West Belfast, it was pure escapism. We decided to bring back his vocalized Magic debut release by We Play Acid NEXT LEVEL and managed to join Mr BC, ACCIDENTAL MELODY, MORIZIO and ACID DRIVER for re-working methods to embrace the Main version with JUDITH CARSON´s lovely artwork. Having had hardly any experience with Computers or Music Software, he went on to teach himself how to produce and create sounds that have the ability to connect with brain cortexes and transmit these feelings in a reliable and faithful way.
