When studying at Abertay University my work put emphasis on Cinematic animation and Character animation, as not only do I feel I excel in those areas, but they are also the areas I enjoy working in most. My 4th year project combined these areas and I chose to design and animate NPCs for use in a videogame, these animations focused on emotion and body language to effectively convey the characters personalty and role. This was one of my favourite projects as it focused on the areas of animation I find the most interesting, which is Character and Storytelling.
In 2023 I took part in an animation trial for the indie game studio Wickerman Games. While working on the trial I would update them my progress and would ask any questions I had directly to ensure I could work effectively and without any confusion. At the end of the trial I was told I had completed the work faster than expected and to a high quality, they went on to offer me a paid position at the studio. Unfortunately I had to turn down the position as they seemed to be in need of a more experienced animatior and ultimately I would be uncomortable taking the job at this stage in my art career.
Since then I have been worked for a Real estate company, re-designing their logo and creating a mascot for use in advertisements and merchandise. As the project went on, they would return to me with different ideas and additional pieces for me to complete, which were done ahead of schedule and to a high-quality.
