The inspiration for this story comes from my son. I hope that when he grows up and his courage fades, he can open this book again. It tells the tale of a little boy who sets out to create a world of growth, while his mother works to build a world of strength. How will they do it? Let’s step into their world together! illustrator Illustration Book Hand-drawing Oil Pastel Gouache Watercolor Acrylic Children Picture Book

The story tells about a rabbit pursuing perfection, who meets a tortoise who has lost his dream. They then decide to help each other realize their wishes. Can a journey change them? In life, many of us don’t do many things because we are afraid of not being perfect. Sometimes we may make mistakes, but we will grow and change after experiencing them. What is important is not perfection, but growth! When the rabbit and the turtle meet, they embark on a fantastic journey together, through a carrot forest, a coffee ocean, a salad field, and a starry sky filled with guitars. Along the way, they discover the happiness they had overlooked, which was always there, waiting for them to notice. Life has put a veil over each of us, and the question remains: how can we reconcile with our inner anxieties and imperfections, remove that veil, and let our hearts be more free and real? Every day is a new beginning—don't doubt it, it truly is a perfect day! illustrator competition Book Illustrator comic
    uniE613 A perfect day?
We are a group of students from the Bachelor and Master in illustration of the HAW Hamburg, who are passionate about comics. We started our anthology during a course by Sascha Hommer named ‘Funny Animals’. We worked on and discussed our stories week by week until our group exhibition in the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe, for which we decided to independently print a first edition of our book. For the occasion of the Comic Festival Hamburg, we prepared a reading and the reception we got from the public at the festival was a great deal of motivation to keep working on this anthology, the number of copies we printed for selling in the festival (only 7) was not enough to match the requests we got. In what follows we first present the common ground of our anthology. Then we introduce the authors and the respective stories one at a time. The variety of drawing and storytelling styles in our anthology is sure to amuse, but more than this divergence we also see what brings all pieces together: we are connected by the funny animals that inhabit our stories. The animal kingdom in its diversity and peculiarities gives us plenty of opportunity for reflecting ourselves and thus for understanding us better. Sometimes we feel like an elephant that doesn't know where to hide, or like a rabbit rushing to collect experiences in life, or like a grumpy and tired old dog. These are some of our characters. Reading one story after another, passing from one style to the next is like experiencing the complexity of a single individual, who is sometimes colourful, sometimes grey, technical and poetic, confident and insecure. It’s the differences put together and the reflection of our inner feelings and thoughts into funny animals that makes this book such a delight.

    uniE613 Funny Animals
This is the first comic I created, called "Is it a perfect day?" The story tells about a rabbit pursuing perfection, who meets a tortoise who has lost his dream. They then decide to help each other realize their wishes. Can a journey change them? In life, many of us don’t do many things because we are afraid of not being perfect. Sometimes we may make mistakes, but we will grow and change after experiencing them. What is important is not perfection, but growth!" Next, I will exhibit at the Mkg Art Museum in Germany with my idol, the German cartoonist Anna. I hope to create more meaningful comics! Although the theme is interesting animals, I think the story needs to be simpler. If you have any ideas, please leave me a message!
    uniE613 Where Dreams Begin
I used digital collage to create my first picture book, "The Place Where Dreams Begin." This book is dedicated to everyone who has a dream or is seeking one of their own. It is based on a true story from my hometown. In the story, two children, Nina and Hong, plant a seed of a dream in their hearts during childhood. As they grow up and work toward that dream, they discover something even more important than achieving it. What is it? When you finish reading this book, you may find your own answer in your heart. illustrator - Hand-drawing Oil Pastel Gouache Watercolor Acrylic Children Picture Book
