I started taking piano lessons at the age of 6, exploring both the classical and jazz-repertoires. With the keys at my fingers I developed an interest for composition and exploration of music theory. I continued my studies at Hvitfeldtska Highschool’s Music (Gifted Education) program, later Åsa Folkhögskola’s program for touring musicians and then I acquired a bachelors and a masters degree in composition from Malmö Academy of Music. With a big interest in a wide range of genres, among these a certain fascination for Japanese culture and music, I decided to study a semester at Yamanashi Gakuin University after my bachelors. While in Japan, I studied with teachers such as Dr. Mike Blow, Dr. Darren Ashmore and Akikazu Nakamura-Sensei, under whom I’m still studying Shakuhachi and Japanese traditional music. During my studies I've composed several large scale pieces for professional symphony orchestras as well as for smaller ensembles. I've also composed for, and produced concerts for Connect Festival, an annual festival focusing on contemporary music. I've additionally had the experience of working as a coordinator for the third GENUS conference about gender equality in higher music education. I’ve recently completed my masters in composition at Malmö Academy of Music with teachers such as Bent Sørensen, Rolf Martinsson, Staffan Storm, and Björn-Tryggve Johansson. I'm currently living in Japan, teaching composition and piano online (_Website not available. Sign in: https://www.twine.net/signup_) while taking commissions for compositions.
