BREAK A NECK Music Video for Odetari

I worked alongside artists 'zealouzdream' and 'projectaz.zip' on Instagram, to create this music video for popular Krushklub artist, Odetari. My role in this project was to direct the creative aspects of the video and animate everything inside of the scenes, including character movement, cameras, facial…I worked alongside artists 'zealouzdream' and 'projectaz.zip' on Instagram, to create this music video for popular Krushklub artist, Odetari. My role in this project was to direct the creative aspects of the video and animate everything inside of the scenes, including character movement, cameras, facial expressions and lighting. I also edited the video, piecing renders together, figuring out timing and handling post processing. I included some small references to pop culture such as the 'mewing' meme, 'getting sturdy' and the 'Chainsaw man dance'. This was to cater to Odetari's main audience, which is younger children and teenagers. I was initially inspired by the song in the video, which is from Sega's 'Space Channel 5 Part 2' and since it was Christmas season, I decided to put my creativity to the test to create a fast-paced, flashy music video for my social media audience. Creating this video gave me the opportunity to improve my skills in both animation and modelling, as well as problem solving within Blender. My role in this project was to animate everything inside of the scenes, such as character movement, cameras, facial expressions, excluding lighting, which was AZ's responsibility. Characters 'L' and 'A' were created with the purpose of learning to model higher fidelity characters, as I was more familiar with working in a lower poly style. I used these characters to create a gothic atmosphere within a simple ballroom,…I designed, created and animated everything in this piece. Characters 'L' and 'A' were created with the purpose of learning to model higher fidelity characters, as I was more familiar with working in a lower poly style. I used these characters to create a gothic atmosphere within a simple ballroom, alongside scenic lighting. I then moved on to animating a waltz dance between the characters, which I choreographed. Throughout the whole process, I learned a lot more about fluid, realistic movements whilst ensuring that I was maintaining contact between both characters.
