Having recently completed my degree in Estudos Artísticos at Faculdade de Letras, I am now looking to join the job market in the audiovisual work area as a camera operator and a video/sound editor. I acquired basic knowledge and skills with the various departments of the audiovisual market during the Video course at Escola Profissional Val do Rio in Oeiras. It was a course that mostly focused on TV and Cinema production, with some of the departments taught being: production, lighting, camera, video and sound editing, etc. During the course I developed my skills by working on different projects together with some of the other classmates. These said projects presented some challenges that were critical in my learning of film and tv production. After the course, I did 2 internships and worked a handful of different jobs both in and outside audiovisual work. Out of these experiences I find the more prominent ones to be the internships in live sound for events and concerts and my time as a video editor and camera operator for junior soccer games. Later, I got into college where I studied cinema, theater and music. It was quite a formative experience where I developed my academic writing and critical thinking skills, whilst also having broadened my horizons both with the arts and life.
