    uniE613 Multimedia Design Principles
What was created was a PowerPoint describing the necessary Multimedia Design Principles that should be incorporated into everyday multimedia design. This was a teaching PowerPoint based on Richard E. Mayer's principles and included examples of what to do and what not to do when attempting to teach others using multimedia in a teaching environment. multimediadesign designprinciples Mayer
    uniE621 Photoshop Model Edit
The idea of this project was to enhance the beauty of the model, clarify any blemishes, and add strength and vibrancy to colors and jewelry. Camera Raw was used to adjust the lighting, blur the background, and enhance the vibrant coloration, while also keeping a realistic appearance to the model and her attire. https://www.twine.net/signin photo photoshop Adobe Lightroom cameraraw model modeling
    uniE608 Scuba Diving Montage
video filmdirector videoeditor This project is a video montage that centers around a single theme; in this case, it was underwater photographs taken while scuba diving. All the photos in this project were taken by me, and edited into the montage by me. The montage was created using Adobe Premiere. The parameters for the project required slide transitions for each slide, and special effects scattered throughout. No audio was required to be added for this project. https://www.twine.net/signin
    uniE608 Sauce Bottle Labels
This project was to create 5 different labels for a hot sauce company based on descriptions given by the company. The hot sauce bottle was cut from a picture and edited to remove the original label and make the bottle a blank slate (removing the label created a blank white area, where the hot sauce bottle had to be "filled-in" with "sauce" and the requisite was to make it look like real sauce, which can be seen in the 5th bottle with the clear label) in order to add created labels by the artist. The peppers were cut from provided photos and integrated into the labels. The labels followed the descriptions of how each sauce bottle should be designed. The labels and "catch-phrases" are original creations by the artist, and the company and sauce name are fictitious, created by the teacher. The labels were created in Photoshop, the audio for each label was recorded through Audacity, and the video was edited and completed through Photoshop Film and Video, in the HDTV 1080p option. https://www.twine.net/signin video advert filmdirector videoeditor photoshop movie graphicdesign
    uniE613 Axolotl InDesign Newsletter
This newsletter I created using InDesign as a way to divulge more information about the amazing creature, the axolotl. The project was required to be two pages in length, contain a minimum of two fonts, contain two columns, and have the information displayed in paragraph form, while also containing at least four images. I chose backgrounds that seemed fun and interesting, as this was more a "puff" piece than anything that serious, and I worked the color pallets around the background. It was more informational than a call to action. I wanted the viewer to be engaged by the cute side of the axolotl, and to want to learn more about this exciting creature. Both pages contain two columns, with pictures split on each side, to break up the flow of the reading. The text boxes on the second page are filled with a green opaque color that I used the eyedropper to match with the background. I added in a little bit about the video game Minecraft, as the axolotl is a newer showcase creature in the game. The Axolotl Associates is a fictional organization created for the contact information stipulation for this assignment. https://www.twine.net/signin article pdf graphicdesigner Adobe InDesign newsletter axolotl designer
    uniE608 Skywatchers Commercial
This commercial was created using Adobe's Premiere Pro. I found the images on the site UnSplash, where they were all free. The music track I found using Freeplay Music, and I cut the part out that I liked the most for my project. I recorded the voice-over track using Audacity, and I then imported in the edited music track, also from Audacity. When I had it all to my liking, I imported the audio into Premiere Pro, edited the photos I had chosen to be approximately 2 seconds each, some a bit longer, and matched them to where I wanted them in regard to the audio. I added in transitions to slides, and text for the credits and for the title slides. Finally, I uploaded the video to YouTube and chose the big-eyed alien as the thumbnail, as I felt it might garner the most attention. https://www.twine.net/signin video advert filmdirector videoeditor
    uniE621 Maya 3d Modeled Car
This is an original design created by me in Maya for a project where the guidelines were to just create a car. I created the tires, steering wheel, seats, rear bar, and body separately. The body was created as a half part first, then mirrored, and all the parts for the vehicle were added in afterwards. I added shading on the vehicle to give it more of a glossy, vehicle paint appearance, and rendered it using Arnold. https://www.twine.net/signin designer 3D modeling Maya Autodesk Arnold car
    uniE603 Audacity Public Service Announcement
This project is a strictly audio public service announcement that was created by using Audacity. The music was a track downloaded from Epidemic Sound of sea waves and ocean sounds, and my 10 year old daughter provided the voice-over. I edited the music to have a fade-in and fade-out, and I tried to keep the music from being too overpowering that you couldn't hear the voice-over. Since this an announcement about a group that searches for shark teeth at a beach, I wanted the background music to sound like it was coming from the beach. While posting to YouTube, I decided to add subtitles to give it a little more body, since it was entirely audio and had no visual components to it. https://www.twine.net/signin music voiceover vocal Audacity
