If there’s one thing I’ve always believed, it’s that we learn and connect through stories. Turns out, I’ve been telling stories my entire life… I just didn’t realise it at first. Whether I was launching a youth nightclub as a 20-year-old councillor, singing on stage, rolling dice in a D&D campaign, or navigating the wild world of branding, I’ve always been drawn to the power of identity and narrative.
Over the past year, I’ve taken a step back from client work to spend time with my daughter before she started school and to lay the groundwork for a YouTube channel dedicated to helping creators build a healthy, sustainable brand—minus the hustle and grind. During this time, I also won the £1,000 ‘She Started It’ grant for my unique approach to helping YouTubers connect with their audience and create on their own terms.
At its core, my work is about shaping how people see, feel, and engage with the world around them. From local government to music, branding, and content creation, my focus has always been on creating opportunities for connection. As a local councillor, I saw the need for young people to have a safe space to create their own stories. So, I founded Grove Zero, a youth nightclub that started as a six-week pilot program but became so successful, it ran for two years—earning me the title of Devon’s Young Councillor of the Year.
Now, I’m looking for my next opportunity to bring this blend of creativity, strategy, and storytelling to a team that values lifelong learning, brainy self-care, and the freedom to create authentically—all while making a lasting impact.
