I am a very personable and creative composer/producer/engineer, with a strong background in musicianship and musical theory. I work in a wide range of styles and genres, which, coupled with an excellent working knowledge of modern and traditional technology and practices, makes me a versatile, efficient, relaxed and creative composer/producer/engineer. I also have a passion for teaching the next generation of creatives, which I follow through lecturing at several Universities.

uniE603 Will Purdue - Missing Piece
Will Purdue is a British Folk/Americana singer/songwriter. We met many years ago when I mixed a gig he was playing at The Bedford, Balham. We've since made lots of music together. Megan Valery is a folk singer/songwriter from Salt Lake City, Utah. She came to me with a handful of demos, and "It's Too Much" stood out to me immediately. uniE608 Imaginary (2024) - Lionsgate premier launch event
An immersive and unsettling birthday tea party was organised for Chanucy, the possessed teddy bear in Lionsgate newest horror, Imaginary. This formed part of the launch event for the film. I created four 'tannoy style' announcements, utilizing Chauncy's theme music from the film, with each announcement getting progressively creepier and more sinister. I also created a long 4 minute horror soundscape for the climatic moment of the event, where actors with scary prosthetics replaced the waiting staff and proceeded to freak the guests out! sounddesign horror immersive event film premier Lionsgate Imaginary
    uniE603 Fetherstone - Jackson
Fetherstone is the brain child of Australian vocalist/songwriter Briana Cowlishaw, blending trad jazz, electronica and pop. I have worked with Briana for many years producing a few singles along the way. With Jackson, I produced the song from demo form into it's fully released version. I wrote guitar, bass, keys and drums parts, sourced musicians to play them and then organised recording sessions at various studios and engineered the sessions. popsong jazz electronic music producer recording engineer
uniE608 Berlin International Film Scoring Competition 2024
My entry for the Berlin International Film Score competition. This was a really challenging piece to score, with no real storyline and lots of great Sound Design to write around, I had to create a very dynamic piece with lots of different energies. I used @musio and @cinesamples for the first time, which I found versatile and easy to use. And I think the quality is 👌 composer shortfilm orchestra filmscore compeition
uniE608 STAR WARS EP VII Rescore
A rescore I completed for my Masters in Composing for TV and Film. The bulk of the samples are spitfireaudio's BBC SO, plus a few extras from various libraries. I was excited to explore the composing style of John Williams, writing strong melodic themes with rich harmony to tell the story and support the emotion on screen. My piece starts with a 'traveling theme', an inquisitive but driving piece of music that starts Rey on her journey across the island to find Luke Skywalker. The piece then opens up into a sense of wonder and scale, as she finally discovers her quarry. But I deliberately left the harmony and orchestral color anxious, dark and unsettled, as we don't know if this hooded stranger is going to help or not. There is then a sense of rising hope and determination in Rey, that is reflected in the Cello line rising through the minor and then major triad of the home key. I finish it off with a tritone movement to give a real sense of uncertainty and grandeur, emphasizing the pivotal cliff hanger the viewers are left with. composer starwars orchestra arranger score filmcomposer
uniE608 Cobweb (2023) - Lionsgate premier launch event
I created an eerie sound design loop for The Experience Agency immersive event for Lionsgate premiere of Cobweb, hosted at Cineworld Leicester Square. I took lots of sounds and cues from the film to create this unique and unnerving sound experience, including recording bespoke voiceovers. sounddesign immersive event horror experience lionsgate film premier
