Hello, I am Connor Weisent a Designer based out of San Antonio. As a designer, I am personally driven by conquering engineering challenges and creating elegant solutions. Over the last 9 years, I have designed everything from aircraft interiors to luxury homes, to advertisements to boats. I am currently the manager of interior design at Citadel Completions. Previously I was the lead designer at Pursuit boats, while also working closely with a luxury Interior design firm as a cabinet and furniture designer. Prior to that, I was an aircraft interior designer for AERIA Luxury Interiors for 5 years. In my current role, I head the overall styling, configuration, ergonomics, and finishes for all new development. I take projects from the sketching and ideation phases through engineering, prototypes, mold build, and final build. My skills in Solidworks have grown to where I am quicker at modeling than sketching, this allows me to often model accurate underlays quickly and save time in the ideation process. In marine, aviation, and home interiors, I build high-fidelity assembly models to develop, present, sell, and build. I have designed complicated hardtops and deck fiberglass components that have to balance tight tolerances with extreme draft and tricky surfacing all the while keeping in mind the rigging and outfitting. I have a high mechanical aptitude and recently developed a custom switchback seat under tight deadlines. When it comes to soft skills I am experienced in developing relationships with VIP clientele to guide them through the design process and also leading teams to accomplish R&D challenges.
