David Mautz is a (film) composer and songwriter based in Lilienthal near Bremen. Before he majored in music and English in order to become a teacher, he was a scholarship recipient and Dean’s List student at the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston between 2001 and 2002, where he studied film scoring and Drumset, gaining the skills to compose for large orchestras. He has supported the British film composer Mark Slater as a copyist and recording assistant on orchestral productions in Abbey Road Studios (London) and Smecky Studios (Prague), among others. In his own studio in Lilienthal, he produces film scores (including for Lugert Verlag, ZDF, and NDR), where, as a versatile multi-instrumentalist and band musician, he can also record and perform a variety of acoustic and electric instruments live.
