    uniE621 Michael Phelps Foundation Brand Identity Design
    I worked with global nonprofit, Michael Phelps Foundation to design a new logo that represents their renewed focus on water safety, pathways to growth and success, and introduces a new focus on mental health. I also developed coordinating logos for four of their subsidiary programs. I designed an in-depth Brand Visual Identity Guide Book to help the foundation keep their logo and materials consistent across all channels. In 2018, the organization marked their 10-year anniversary with a year-long celebration honoring their organization’s mission and success. I developed a splash-themed anniversary mark for them and redesigned their 250-page IM Program Guide.     uniE621 Phelps & Friends Fundraising Event Brand Identity, Website, and Deck
    Phelps + Friends is nonprofit organization Michael Phelps Foundation’s (MPF) premiere fundraising initiative. For their inaugural event, “Tee It Up”, guests and sponsors gather in Arizona with Michael Phelps for a day of incredible golf, great conversation, food, drink, and fantastic music for a life-saving cause. Having developed the Foundation’s brand identity, I was tasked with designing the Phelps + Friends brand and secondary event identity in a manner that related to the organization’s visuals, but also tied in the event’s desert location and golf focus. I worked with the client to craft a color palette that built upon the green and midnight shades from the MPF’s brand identity with desert-inspired earth tones. I turned the water-inspired “swoosh” from the MPF icon into a sunset. I also hand-drew the primary typographic lockup to give the brand a personal, distinct look and utilized MPF’s primary typeface for secondary text. The final elements included the family of logo designs, an event website, sponsor pitch presentation deck, digital invitation, social media graphics, and branded swag and signage.     Feel Strong Movement is a new initiative for women who want to see the focus of fitness change. Rather than traditional tactics that use shame and judgement to emphasize body size as a measurement of success, Feel Strong is shifting the narrative around exercise to making everyone feel empowered and strong. The movement connects people to an online community that includes empowering social media messaging, reels, and resources, including a directory of gyms and fitness programs that are committed to making their space comfortable for all people to join.     Los Angeles-based nonprofit, Miracle Mile Community Practice approached us in need of an update for their brand identity system. The origination offers affordable counseling services on a sliding scale, and also serves as a training site, internationally recognized for their expertise in narrative therapy. The old logo was outdated and didn’t speak to the brand’s innovative, roadmap approach to one’s mental health journey.
