Mr. Eric Robillard, President and Creative Director, has nearly 30 years of experience in graphic design. After obtaining a D.E.C. in Graphic Communication from Collège Ahuntsic in Montreal, Mr. Robillard worked as a production graphic designer for direct marketing companies while also freelancing. In 1996, he joined the graphic department at Alliance Vivafilm, the largest film distributor in Canada at the time. His creativity and sense of responsibility quickly propelled him to the position of Art Director after only two and a half years with the company, a role he held for nearly four years. He then joined Remstar, another film distributor, as Creative Director, responsible for both the company’s film and corporate sides. In 2003, he founded Kinos, the only bilingual graphic design studio in Canada specializing in the films industry. As the head of Kinos, Mr. Robillard oversees visual creation and the deployment of marketing plans for some of the biggest box office successes of the last 20 years, including the “Twilight,” “Hunger Games,” and “John Wick” franchises. He and his team have designed movie posters for films such as “Starbuck,” “La Bolduc,” “Le Club Vinland,” “Souterrain,” and “Au revoir le bonheur,” in addition to managing translation and adaptation projects for Disney, Paramount, and Universal, as well as creations for Loto-Québec. At Kinos, a typical project can include 15 to 200 different graphic products, ranging from patches and building banners to graphic animation videos and microsites. In addition to being a renowned poster designer, Mr. Robillard is a member of Illustration Québec and has designed dozens of book covers for various audiences. Since 2010, Mr. Robillard has extended his expertise to other markets, such as non-profits, real estate, and construction. He is behind the branding for the Laval Chamber of Commerce and Industry and has managed several video production projects as well as multiple graphic animation projects. With an enviable reputation, Mr. Robillard possesses a mastery of technical knowledge covering both print processes and the requirements of video productions, not to mention the often complex parameters of digital advertising.
