Credits include performances at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Preservation Hall, and the White House, as well as contributions to Grammy-winning and Grammy-nominated albums. His solo piano album "Rock Rewind" was released on Steinway Records, and he is the creator of the music and global news project "Current Dissonance." With the Michael Gallant Trio, he released critically-acclaimed albums that blend propulsive rock, improvisational jazz, and Romantic harmonies; his debut "Completely" earned four stars from DownBeat, which called it “infections and captivating.” Gallant co-leads New York band Aurical, which has twice performed at Lincoln Center. As Senior Editor at Keyboard magazine, he interviewed artists including Billy Joel, Justin Timberlake, and Herbie Hancock—many of whom he jammed with mid-interview. Further credits include music for the Susan Sarandon movie "About Ray," scoring for the Anti-Defamation League with voiceover by James Earl Jones, and collaborations with Grammy winners Wouter Kellerman and Ricky Kej.
