Gerard Miralpeix Perpiña (Vic, Barcelona, 1987) is a Spanish composer, producer, sound designer, and multi-instrumentalist. With over two decades in the industry, he has worked across film, video games, K-POP, and multimedia, collaborating with top artists, labels, and entertainment companies, leaving a mark on the European and international music scenes.

His career began in 2002, playing drums, piano, and bass in various bands, exploring styles from heavy metal, ska, and punk to big band and jazz. He also composed soundtracks for theater, short films, and animation. In 2007, he co-founded Moreno del Metal, releasing Tiene Madera and the live DVD A Pelo en Apolo. The band toured nationally and reached the semifinals of Tú Sí Que Vales (X-Factor), a Spanish talent show with millions of viewers, solidifying his reputation as a versatile musician.

In 2012, Gerard moved to Japan, performing as a drummer and pianist with various artists and Idols, while composing soundtracks for indie films and anime. Upon returning to Europe, he performed at major Japanese culture events and conventions, while also working in the German music scene, collaborating on multiple projects.

By 2017, he formalized his expertise in music production and sound engineering, working with major artists and bands spanning rock, pop, afrobeat, electronic, and classical music. His versatility allowed him to contribute as a session musician, producer, and arranger in high-profile projects.

Since 2022, Gerard has been a partner and lead composer, producer, and sound designer at PKO Music Group & PKO Studios, one of Europe’s top recording facilities, working with Sony Music, Warner Music, Universal Music, Vicco, Viva Suecia, Arde Bogotá, and more.

Beyond music, he has played key roles in K-POP, tech, and business development, collaborating with HYBE, Big Hit, SM, YG, JYP, and creating content for Arturia, SSL, RME, and Tascam. He also designed high-end audio installations and led the music business division at Colector Somnis Group, developing Colector Studio, Productions, Records, and Publishing.

As an entrepreneur, he founded Grup HR, a hospitality and entertainment complex, directed Sala BAC ART, a 1,200-capacity concert hall, and launched Rubber It, one of Barcelona’s largest event production companies.
