I am Daniel Gifford, a BA graduate in Digital Art & Animation, a Motion Graphics artist and a bilingual voice actor. I also have complimentary knowledge in several other areas such as VFX, GFX localization, video editing, audio editing, 3D and design. The following are my most relevant work experiences:
After graduating, I started working in the corporate area of Tiendas 3B, working as an instructional designer. In that position, I mainly developed digital content for the company’s internal, instructional, digital platform, as well as for Human Resources. This included the creation of digital courses, Motion Graphics videos, videos and other content for the platform’s influencer, the creation of infographics and banners and the design of some internal logos (among other activities).
After that, I worked on a project for Labodigital. That project consisted of making storyboards and Motion Graphics videos for an online academic course for IESE Business School. In addition to Motion Graphics, I worked on the VFX for the first season of “Control Z”, the first season of “Amarres” and the third season of “Run Coyote Run”. I also helped the coordinator in quality checking whenever possible.
At the end of the pandemic I started working for Feroz Carmesí, where I worked on graphics for several series and movies, including the third season of “Control Z”, the first season of “La Flor más Bella” and “Qué culpa tiene el Karma?”. For “Control Z” my main focus was localization of almost all the graphics into English, French, Italian and Portuguese. In addition, I supported by reviewing the localizations for errors or better options. Even without knowing some of the languages, I was able to notice some errors, thanks to patterns from the rest of the localizations and thanks to the similarities with Spanish.
Recently, I worked as a freelance video editor in TV Azteca. The main focus was on a series of videos for the “Factor M” event, hosted by their brand partner COMEX. I also attended the event to edit videos concurrently with the event. Aside from that, I also worked on other projects, including videos for the Olympics, the Super Bowl and the Robot Battle League Gto.
Apart from those 4 larger jobs, I have worked as a freelancer on different projects involving Motion Graphics, voice acting, editing, storyboard and design. In addition to my formal work, I also worked on personal projects such as fan art and fan dubbing challenges, where I illustrated and dubbed in both English and Spanish 20 different characters consolidated into videos using Motion Graphics.
I am a responsible, respectful, hard-working person who has an eye for detail. I constantly try to improve my skills and am more than willing to learn new knowledge and skills if they become needed.
