Versatile, experienced and dedicated - as a producer, songwriter, mix engineer and performer, Hugh is a creator with an eclectic range of style and influence. From hip-hop, rock and EDM tracks, to making 70s soul and classical samples for producers, he is a multifaceted musician with an adaptable nature and love of different sounds. His musical journey started playing his mum’s old guitar, listening and learning from rock acts like Nirvana, My Chemical Romance and Pink Floyd. This eventually led to rap and hip hop after hearing 2Pac and The Roots for the first time. A flexible musician, he’s been performing in bands and as a solo artist from his teens through to his twenties. He started his journey as a dedicated producer and at university, and really focused in on mixing and mastering during Covid – locked into his bedroom studio set-up, starting an online remix series, learning techniques from YouTube, and studying the work of other producers like 40, Madlib and Burial. As an independent artist, had his tracks featured on blogs around the world, played on BBC radio, performed in multiple venues around the nation, won competitions and supported some high-profile artists. As a producer, he's co-produced projects, made remixes and original instrumentals for other artists songs, and created tracks for companies such as podcast themes and musical company reviews.

    uniE613 Hip Hop Beatmaking
I've been making hip hop beats and uploading them to Youtube. I cover a few different styles, mainly influenced by producer such as J Dilla, Madlib and Nujabes. I do this incorporating samples from a wide array of sources: jazz, soul, rare groove, bossa nova, electronic music. I also create my own original samples to use in beats. I do all musical and visual duties here - composing the beat, mixing and mastering it, and then creating videos to accompany them. Here are a few examples of my work: https://youtu.be/z3oAQQVpsI0?si=iUho7kgslUaZeXcZ https://youtu.be/e6XZO3x7aME?si=hrx8HjEM99kOS0-9 https://youtu.be/n_XsmA7xDHg?si=OuczJTL7OxSqLUbG https://youtu.be/wKvorZSBZio?si=x95La03-MQ4QdfwQ https://youtu.be/TzrNZ6GW1ig?si=s5dQKfTEJj1TrnLh Here is a video of some of the original samples I have created and used in my beats. https://youtu.be/O7UC6jZGaEw?si=OZplFlTU0c62hPtE
    uniE613 Enter The Dillaverse
Released in Summer 2025, "Enter The Dillaverse" is a tribute to my favourite producer, J Dilla, and a sonic voyage through my range left-field production, travelling through soulful boom-bap, psychedelic trap, alt-R&B and spacey hip hop. 7 tracks interpolating and reimagining Dilla classics, telling tales of youthful memories, romance, money, city life and dreaming big. This release gathered good reviews, getting plays on BBC Radio and online stations, blog features and additions to Spotify playlists. All music here was written, recorded, mixed and mastered myself. I remade the original samples that J Dilla used for his tracks, recreating music from The Jackson 5, Herbie Hancock, The Singer's Unlimited and more. Here are my favourite tracks from it! https://youtu.be/BQ37GLE5GtQ?si=wCGXWpC-1c7ROKg_ https://youtu.be/TJKfhWEJDPI?si=tDBGSftW_OBS-1jl https://youtu.be/A5YZgqBielY?si=bCJbpAY-GDUsYLfr https://youtu.be/y6HuNzyr0x0?si=Yb_IE8NCxssQ3TTc
