    Apolius was the result of my studies during my MA. It is a 90 page graphic novel that I wrote and created as a means to practice and develop my understanding in sequential imaging for storytelling, character driven narratives, character development (in both concept and visual development), world building (this included a sci-fi culture that reflect modern ideas taking over). I also explored narrative devices such as language, where I decided to develop my own, so that I could distance my stories world further from reality, to really set the tone of my stories setting. The main critical voices I studied on this course were, Joseph Campbell, Ursula K Le Guin, Will Eisner, Hirohiko Araki and Kira Anne Pelican.…
