Attentive listener who understands how to bring a client’s idea to life, with a unique and personalized touch. Calligraphy has reignited my love for creating by allowing me to combine my handlettering with visual arts. The biggest thing that drew me to graphic design besides my love for creating is the endless possibilities of what can be done. Following a bachelor’s degree from SFU in Arts and Social Sciences, I decided to dive into the creative pool and completed my diploma at VCC in Digital Graphic Design.

    uniE621 Packaging: Qualitea Bubble Tea
Proudly brewed in Vancouver, Qualitea is a fictional company that is the number one pre-packaged bubble tea, perfect for those constantly on the go. Qualitea uses premium loose leaf tea sweetened with its signature house made organic raw sugar syrup. The drinks reflect the love and passion they have for bubble tea. Design an innovative and sustainable packaging solution for a bubble tea brand that exemplifies its fun and outgoing ambiance. Create a series of three products for a summer launch. Elevate the packaging to incorporate die-cuts that showcase the actual product. To reduce single use plastics, I proposed the idea of selling bubble tea in Tetra Paks which are 100% recyclable and offer the lowest carbon footprint. To accommodate for the tapioca pearls in the drinks, I adapted and adjusted “Straw Pak” packaging from students at IDAS, Hongik University, to work for the tapioca toppings. The design balances simple illustration and typography that is fun and modern. graphicdesigner branding logo illustrator bubbletea boba pacakaging tetrapaks puns calligraphy typography illustration adobeillustrator photoshop
    uniE621 Editorial: Trouvaille
Trouvaille is a fictional travel magazine dedicated to finding hidden gems while exploring. It caters to travel enthusiasts and features the original artwork of calligraphers from around the world. The magazine launches at a time when the world is set to open back up post Covid-19 and encourages travelers to once again discover adventure and culture. Create a professionally structured magazine from concept to bound product. Design and brand the magazine to showcase your passion and strengths while incorporating a table of contents, infographic, and advertisements. As the world prepares for the new normal, people are beginning to look into unwinding and using their vacation days. Within this magazine, I combined my passions for travel, photography and calligraphy. Trouvaille features the work of calligraphers from around the world with their feature piece, ShowMeYourCity. The article shows the city through the eyes of a calligrapher and captures both the artwork and city views from a creative’s perspective. photo graphicdesigner branding designer calligrapher calligraphy travel editorial magazine epub indesign illustration photoshop
    uniE621 Business Card: Alex Palmer
Create a die-cut business card from design to pre-flight checks for print. Alex Palmer is a Sports Therapist at Vivid. Vivid is a sport therapy clinic that helps athletes recover from injury and return to sports healthier and stronger. Vivid believes that sports is more than competition, it is a platform for building lifelong friendships and accomplishing goals. Athletes, regardless of skill level, will at one time or another experience an injury that hinders their ability to return to sport. At Vivid, sports therapists like Alex are passionate about sports and ensuring that athletes can continue doing what they love most, staying active. To promote their brand, Vivid is looking for an innovative and iconic business card that is representative of their company as a whole. One method to help in the recovery process is using KT tape, which aids in reducing swelling, increasing mobility and enhancing recovery after injury. Designing a die-cut business card in the shape of KT tape represents a snapshot of what Vivid sport therapists do to help athletes. The electric blue is eye-catching, appealing and warrants a second look. graphicdesigner illustrator designer stationery businesscards branding brandidentity athletics sports 🔗 janetyee.myportfolio.com/alex-palmer-business-card

Michael’s curiosity leads him into Cyberpan with Wendy reaching desperately to save her brothers. Can Peter save Cyberpan and make things right with Wendy? uniE621 Website Development: Griffins Football
Eric Hamber Secondary School is home to Vancouver’s only public school with a football program. Griffins Football originated from a passion to create a program that provides students with soft skills such as time management and communication, and opportunities that will benefit them in the future whether that is in athletics or in life. The challenge: Redesign and update the current website to be a platform that informs, promotes and celebrates the football program. Research and recommend a website platform that suits the needs of the brand. Utilize HTML and CSS knowledge to customize the theme and tailor it specifically for the brand. The final website is branded with the school colours, maroon and baby blue and utilizes action photographs from games and practices. Rather than cluttering the home page with text, I opted to use a hamburger menu and panels for easy navigation. To tailor the theme specifically for the brand, I adjusted parts of the CSS updating button animations, container sizes as well as the media queries for mobile screens. graphicdesigner webdesigner designer webdesign website illustration branding football 🔗 janetyee.myportfolio.com/griffins-football-web-development
    uniE621 Logo Design: Griffins Badminton
Following an undefeated season during the 2019 VSSAA Badminton campaign. After a two year hiatus, Eric Hamber’s Badminton Teams looked forward to their winning ways once again. The team was looking for a new refreshed logo for their jerseys and team apparel. A logo that represented the team’s passion, but also ensured the mascot, a griffin and the sport was identifiable. The challenge, create a logo for the mythical griffin; balancing the head of an eagle, and the body of a lion. In addition, seamlessly incorporate some aspect of badminton into the logo other than through text. The final logo presents a careful balance between an eagle’s head and the tail of a lion. The tail consists of a flame, exhibiting the true qualities of what it means to be a griffin. The fire and passion of a griffin athlete are visible on and off the court. The shuttlecock is seamlessly incorporated into the wings of the griffin, representing the sport of badminton. graphicdesigner illustrator branding logo sports illustrator 🔗janetyee.myportfolio.com/griffins-badminton-logo-apparel-design
