    uniE613 Make Space for Magic
https://vimeo.com/802256441 Client: Life Changes Trust Life Changes Trust’s Young People Advisory Group co-produced grants for care experienced young people like themselves. They wanted to make a film to share their experiences. I taught Saffron, Lydia, and Jake – the stars of the film – how to operate the camera and sound equipment, and directed our second camera for the behind-the-scenes footage. The final edited film was 17 minutes long.
    uniE613 This is Our Co-op
https://vimeo.com/802255374 Client: Cooperatives UK This short but sweet celebration of co-op culture was made for Co-op Fortnight 2021, commissioned by Co-operatives UK. After over a year of the Covid-19 pandemic, this was my first foray back into the world of in-person filming. I wrote the script and identified contributors in Glasgow and Leeds. Cinematographer Xavier Coll captured all of the locations - from a vintage clothes shop to a dairy farm - beautifully.
    uniE613 Tackling Workplace Harrassment
https://youtu.be/Tej0QX4_oAo Client: Close the Gap Close the Gap is a feminist organisation in Scotland, providing training and support to businesses to address harrassment. After making several films with media co-op in the past, they wanted something quick and easily replicable to showcase their trainings. I animated all scenes in After Effects, using original characters designed by Hug Graphics.
    uniE613 Nature Networks Matter
https://vimeo.com/802257352 Client: Scottish Environment Link Our relentless expansion across land and sea is driving Scotland's most precious species to the brink of collapse. To save them, we need to reconnect fractured populations - putting nature networks at the heart of our agriculture and infrastructure. This stunning campaign film for Scottish Environment Link was built from over 70 hours of archive footage from over 15 organisations, with voiceover by Alison Peebles and illustrations by Sophie Powell.
uniE613 Changing Life Expectancy in the UK (and why it matters)
https://vimeo.com/802102533 Client: Glasgow Centre for Population Health I worked with the Glasgow Centre for Population Health and its lead scientist, Dr. David Walsh, to create a clear and impactful animation explaining population health trends. It was quite the challenge, especially since 'population health' is not widely understood. The final research report, the film, and an accompanying fact sheet were all released in May 2022, and quickly garnered media attention. It received coverage from The Times, The Herald, and the Sun and was shown at the Scinema Film Festival in 2023. Art and animation by Donna McAvoy.
    uniE613 Gemma's Story
https://youtu.be/HPu9DI4k-_k?si=V26aVeWdf47uxbzu Client: Glasgow Caledonian University Awards: Best Charity Film at Third Sector Excellence Awards 2023. This harrowing and thought-provoking film was winner of Best Charity Film at the Third Sector Excellence Awards 2023. In just a few minutes, it exposes the horror of being a victim of domestic abuse and stalking – and how the Scottish justice system is failing women. The script was made of direct quotes from women interviewed by researchers at Glasgow Caledonian University. It is currently being used in training by Police Scotland. The art was drawn by Shali Reddy.
