Benefits Cove

Benefits Cove specializes in providing employee benefits packages for other businesses. The website needed to cover the three main parts of their offering: healthcare benefits, finance and legal benefits, and a yearly vacation for each employee. I chose a tropical color scheme with ocean blue and light sand to match their logo and to reinforce the vacation benefit. I also used a wave shape to divide the hero section from the rest of the page. Rembrandt's Gallery & Wine Bar

I worked at Rembrandt’s Gallery & Wine Bar for more than 12 years, so naturally, it is the business where I have done most of my designing. Originally, the business was a handcrafted custom table company (Madison Table Works). Several years later, the art gallery was added, featuring works from many local artisans. Eventually, the wine bar was opened to show off the tables (and it kind of took over). This is an ongoing branding package I worked on for the last few years the wine bar was in business. It includes a WordPress website, rack cards that are displayed at local hotels, menus, advertising, and more. I added wood elements as a nod to the business’s roots as a table company, and greenery to hint at the freshness of the restaurant’s food. Soup, Stew, Chili, and Brew

Every autumn, my hometown’s Chamber of Commerce closes down Main Street for a festival called the Soup, Stew, Chili, and Brew. Businesses and residents alike set up booths featuring their best fall recipes – everything from pumpkin soup to caramel apple lattes – to show the community what they’ve got and hopefully bring home their category’s grand prize. This promotional poster was created for the Chamber of Commerce to display in the local store windows and other places around town. I wanted to invoke a sense of eating warm chili on a crisp fall day. I used Adobe Photoshop CC to make the photomontage featuring the chili, an espresso maker pouring out hot coffee, and a picnic tablecloth (to hint at eating outside).
