Finalist of Kris Foundation Concerto Competition 2018 (winner of strings category), Jocelyn is a Singaporean violinist and obtained her bachelor's degree studies in NAFA School Of Music in collaboration with London’s Royal College of Music. As a graduate from School Of The Arts, Jocelyn joined NAFA School Of Music in 2014, in which she attained her Diploma with Distinction in 2016. She studied under the tutelage of SSO violinist Mr Foo Say Ming. She was also the recipient of NAFA’s Leong Yoon Pin Scholarship 2016 to 2018 for full tuition grant. At the age of 10, Jocelyn was featured as a solo violinist for “Miss Singapore Chinatown 2005/2006”. At 16, she performed in Italy and Switzerland as part of a tour in multiple venues. At 17, she won an audition to perform as a soloist accompanied by an orchestra. Jocelyn freelances in groups like Singapore Lyric Opera, Metropolitan Festival Orchestra, re:mix and re:Sound. She is the first violinist in Singapore Pocket Opera Theatre Music Ensemble and is also a member of Singapore's Vetta and Esta Quartet performing nationwide. Jocelyn has a deep interest in a wide range of musical styles such as jazz, pop, rock, classical and Eastern. She believes that music is the only universal language and every performer should have a story to tell through their performance; a shared experience with the audience.
