The choice to work with papercut stop motion was decided on for a number of reasons, but first and foremost because we were desperate to really pull at the heart strings of the viewers through both an odd feeling of nostalgia and an unexpected twist, whilst matching the beautiful tone of the track. My concept was to transform your usual, predictable Christmas dinner scene into a feast of skincare products, showcasing how delicious the products themselves look - with some of them taking on the appearance of staples such as camembert and roasties. The one point I really wanted to get across with this project was to present skincare in a way that people won't be expecting to see skincare. For this project I created the concept, storyboarded individual ads, collaborated closely with a videographer and a stylist, orchestrated and directed the shoot, sourced the location and edited the ads.…
