    uniE603 Daiki Kasho - 5OUL ON D!SPLAY (GT7 Hype Mix)
Making good on a promise I made to myself way back in 2013, I produced a new better-sounding mix of both versions of this song just before the release of Gran Turismo 7. This one was done in PreSonus Studio One in about 3-4 hours, still using bits of both versions plus a rare live performance on top. The big differences with my first version from a decade ago: No more car noises from the game intro Smoother editing A much-needed boost to the low-end Some extra synths And a rare bit of creative license in some places (especially the end, as turns out it's trickier than I thought to undo a fadeout). I'm proud of how much better this one sounds compared to my original attempt a decade ago, especially since I haven't done any music stuff for a long time now, so good to know I haven't completely forgotten my music production degree! music master mix remix
uniE603 Embers of Eden - Revolution (Call to Arms) [Live]
This was recorded at a rehearsal session back in March 2014 at dBs Live in Plymouth. This was in preparation for their first ever gig, and they've come a long way in less than two years. uniE603 The Half-Quartet - Für Elise
In March 2014, I got the opportunity to record The Half Quartet, a contemporary jazz duo – although on this day a trio with addition of a session drummer – consisting of pianist Alex Christaki and bassist Matt Brooks at Space, a collection of studio and rehearsal spaces contained within Dartington Hall in Totnes, Devon. A variety of everything was captured on that day, but this was the only song I mixed and mastered at the time of the assignment in April: their jazz interpretation of Ludvig van Beethoven’s “Bagatelle No. 25 in A minor”, more commonly known as “Für Elise”. I've only just recently rediscovered the project files and realised I forgot to upload it, so here it is! Now that I know where they are, I'll probably work on the other songs as well and upload them here later on. audio Jazz
uniE603 Nicki Bluhm & The Grahmblers - Go Go Go [Live]
My submission to one of Telefunken's mixing contests held on Indaba Music. This was way back in June 2013 while I was still studying in college. I didn't trouble the pros, but I got nine votes and ended up just one vote behind one of my tutors, haha. Check out the studio version: https://soundcloud.com/nicki-bluhm/go-go-go audio Rock Live

My planned submission to another one of Telefunken's mixing contests hosted on Indaba Music (this one was back in September 2013); I say planned, as I didn't get it finished in time for the submission deadline. On the bright side, it did get used in one of my college assignments, so it wasn't a complete waste. audio PostJazz Live

    uniE603 Outlaws (with Insonify)
Here's the result of a current assignment: an instrumental song by Ben Malley (A.K.A. @Insonify), a fellow student in my group. Thanks to a technique I used for the first time called reamping (where four different amps placed in each side of the recording room were routed up), plus the use of the mid-side technique in recording the acoustic guitar, this song has nine tracks of just guitars & bass, and just one of drums that were programmed by myself using Addictive Drums. There is no production or mastering applied to this song, as per the assignment's requirements; only EQ, mixing, panning & automation was allowed, and the song had to contain at least one mic'd instrument (acoustic guitar), one DI'd instrument (electric guitar + bass guitar), and one software instrument (Addictive Drums). Personnel Ben Malley/@Insonify: Acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar. Jordan Hicks: Drum programming, engineering, mixing. audio Postrock mightyjordan ben malley outlaws rock postrock
