My name is Kevin Glass, and I am a music composer, specializing in soundtrack music. I have currently scored 3 released games and several short films. At California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, I earned degrees in Music Composition and Electrical Engineering. During my time there, I took private lessons in composition and got hands-on experience writing scores for short films. With my electrical engineering experience, I deepened my understanding of holistic composition and production through a frame of digital signal processing, and began framing music through an extra lens of audio engineering techniques. While completing my degrees, I worked as a technology lab manager, learning game design and AGILE Development. For my senior project, I created a unique MIDI keyboard controller with MPE (Multidimensional Polyphonic Expression) capabilities to assist in further game and film compositions. The project combined my technical and creative abilities to enhance the compositional experience. I approach each project individually, carefully considering all angles and directions before I begin in order to streamline my creative process and minimize future pitfalls. This way, I can efficiently meet deadlines while creating complex, layered, creative projects. My focus on scoring video games stems from my longtime love of games as well as both my musical and technical backgrounds. Video games have a unique ability to tell stories and convey emotions both visually and aurally, immersing players in novel experiences. I love using music to transport listeners and inspire an endless range of emotions, especially to embolden existing media and unlocking its fullest potential. ----- *Employment and project experience* 1.
