I never really understood what the hype for photography and videography was until I realized why people loved recording sunsets. It's not just about the sight being pretty, it was showing where you were THERE. Though, I've always liked the thought of recording. As a kid, watching youtube and recording my own little skits was a pleasant way to spend my time. Since that realization, I've graduated from the Sheffield Institute of the Recording Arts to be a fulltime freelancer in documentary and commercial style productions. I've filled various positions within the industry, from the smallest roles like production assistant, to the highest ones like assistant director. Here is a category list of what I've worked on. Documentary: I helped record and direct a non-profit for ShowYourSoftSide.org (Snip&Tip Clinic Doc), helped record B-Roll for Sheffield's "Recording at Sheffield" (on youtube), and have completely produced a documentary piece on my own "'You need these experiences' - RedLion Cubscout to Boyscout Documentary". Commercial: I have made a gamecube-intro inspired animated graphic for a small business I really like called the Gaming Lounge found in the York Galleria of York, PA. Narrative: My school team and I made a short film (on vimeo) called "ROAR FM", where I filled the roles as assistant director, editor, and colorist.
