Having started drawing from a very young age and growing up with a "Fine Artist" (mom) and Art Teacher, Laura-Anne was always drawing and painting growing up. Her first art “gig” was at 16 painting Holiday windows for local retail businesses in her hometown of Cranbrook, BC. When she was 17 her Dad bought her an airbrush and that's when she really started thinking about continuing her studies in a related field. In 1991 she attended VIU for 2 years and received an Associate’s degree in Applied Arts (Graphics option). After her first year at college she received a prestigious 1st place award, and by unanimous decision. A British Columbian, provincial-wide, inter-collegiate poster contest, competing against prestigious post-graduate schools such as Emily Carr College of Art & Design, “Enviro Visions”, for Enviro Expo ‘92, Laura-Anne's "The Gift" took first place. One thousand limited edition prints were printed and were given to each of the 1000 corporate delegates from major global companies such as Fuji, Canon and Hewlett-Packard. Laura-Anne was also awarded the Faculty Award for Graphics upon graduation from VIU. Her first job out of college was designing "Yellow Page" display ads for Dominion Directories. After three years she moved on and worked at many different jobs within the graphics industry; as a Production Artist at Sicon Signs (formerly The Sicon Group), and as an Airbrush Artist at Hawg Wild Airbrush. Her main focus as of late, has been mural painting and creating large scale digital murals. She has done work for companies such as Triumph, The Naam, Save-On-Foods, Tim Horton's, Tsubaki of Canada and Vodafone. She loves to ride her 2022 Harley Davidson Street Bob, and wants to do more travelling.
