Hello. I’m Lee Carlos Alston, Sr. an award-winning multi-instrumentalist, music producer, and audio engineer with over 39 years of experience in music production. I blend music theory, mathematics, and science to craft compositions across genres including Latin, Blues, Country, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Soul, R&B, Funk, Gospel and more. I’m a versatile instrumentalist—guitarist (rhythm and lead), bassist, keyboardist, and percussionist—and have worked as a session musician, recording artist, and producer on projects for artists in Brazoria County and beyond. I began my journey as a session musician in 1986 while a sophomore at Brazosport High School, collaborating with Mike Dean of Rap-A-Lot Records on hip-hop projects. Today I own and operate Lee Alston Gulla Soul Myewzik, my freelance music production and consulting company, and I produce music scores for Lion’s Den World Wide Entertainment, an independent film company in Australia. I travel extensively to tutor soundboard operators, musicians, and vocalists at churches and studios across the U.S. and beyond, sharing the science of sound and the theory behind great arrangements.
