uniE613 Junior Software Developer - Dispace
Dispace’s main product is an online booking system, Switch, which is used by local councils and UK based universities. It is used to manage the end to end booking process for any available rooms, equipment or accommodation in any of their venues. Some of my day to day responsibilities include: Create, test and maintain React contexts to manage application state using modern hooks Build new React components to provide new functionality for customer needs Maintain and extend C API endpoints in our .Net backend code. Assist in managing client relationships Some recent projects include: Re-architecting Switch Dashboard using a modular approach to display meaningful data to customers based on their individual needs Extending booking functionality to cater for Packages using modern Javascript and React based hooks. Re architect monolith JavaScript application and split projects into smaller microservices. Each service is built with Rollup and published as a private package and deployed to Azure.
