Taking inspiration from Victorian era taxidermy domes that were used to display butterflies, birds and insects, this piece aims to shed light on the very sad condition that fish are kept in, especially in popular tiny fish bowls that are often even lightbulbs or tea kettles. The explorations were all about fishes where they shouldn’t be. The final piece has a fish inside a Victorian looking birdcage with birds on branches in the background. Alas, even though the fish may think so, they are not free; they are on the wallpaper!
