Manuel Fernández Lorea: animator, editor and colorist.
Graduated in Image and Sound Design from the University of Buenos Aires in 2013, I began my career as an offline editor in sports content productions.
Since 2007 I worked as a senior editor at the Argentine educational channel Encuentro, where I carried out several audiovisual projects of international recognition.
In 2015 I produced and illustrated an animated short titled “The Lines of the Hand” based on a story by Julio Cortázar. It was broadcast by Canal Encuentro in 2017.
Since 2018 I have been working as a freelance editor and colorist for advertising spots, TV shows and documentary films; some of which had recognition at festivals such as “Back Window” by American director Tom Donohue at BAFICI 2022.
In 2021 I worked on the restoration of the Netfix series “Okupas” by the Argentine director Bruno Stagnaro.
In 2021-2023 I was part of the international audiovisual team of multidisciplinary artist Tomás Saraceno, editing artistic works and documentaries for his studio based in Berlin.
I am currently working as a director, scriptwriter, illustrator and animator of my own traditional handmade animation project titled “The Awakening”. This 10-minute short film will be launched in 2024.
