Hello, I’m Preston! I have several hyphens in my artistic and storytelling offerings. I am a performer, stage director, writer, video artist, and educator.
As a performer I have performed comedy, music and theater in over 50 venues in New York City and in nine countries across the world. The New Yorker called my work “captivating,” The New York Times found me “fabulously committed” and “hilarious,” and Theatermania asserts I am “almost certainly homosexual.”
On screen I have worked with Greta Gerwig as a dancer in “Little Women,” Quinn Shephard in Hulu’s “Not Okay,” and Mary Stuart Masterson on the devised drama “The Rest of Us.” I have appeared twice in the Tribeca Film Festival.
I have branched into video art, directing, filming and editing two music videos for Broadway chanteuse Grace McLean, each with tens of thousands of views. I blended my theater prowess with this new skill set in my one person multimedia project “Chicken Soup With Stars,” built through a residency at Ars Nova.
The creative process is sacred to me from all angles. Humans tell ourselves stories all day about our lives. It is an honor to reflect this action in multiple mediums. Let’s take on the honor together!
