Rob has the right balance of productive push and "letting it breathe". He was really able to hone the essence of the song and keep us on the right track towards the final product. He had very clear ideas of what equipment to use and how to capture the sound we were going for without totally taking over calling all the shots. Something he said during guitar tracking sticks in my mind. There was a bit where I was just kind of knocking on the muted strings in between chords and he said something like "I know what you're doing there, but theres a right way to record noise." That says it all! Attention to detail & honoring the spirt. I would recommend working with Rob to anyone looking to take their craft to the next level.
