I began playing violin at an early age and then guitar in my teens. The Glasgow nightlife scene introduced me to electronic music, and after deciding that DJing didn’t provide me with the expressive or creative platform I was looking for, I turned to music production. My initial fascination was recording and manipulating found-sounds, and from there I quickly became interested in synthesis and sound design. Much of my music has adopted the use of hardware and modular synthesizers, which is my current predominant passion. I’ve created a body of electronic music and have enjoyed releasing it on cassette and net-labels from around the world and playing it in venues all over Scotland and the UK. Having just completed my degree year at Glasgow School of Art I'm looking forward to moving into my honours degree in September. Proficient in DAWs such as Ableton Live, ProTools and Logic. Skills around advanced creative sound design and contemporary electronic music production, along with sound synthesis in both digital and analog domains. History of playing live electronic music in clubs and festivals. Experience in graphical coding language Max/MSP, and design audio plugins/sound synthesis devices and instruments. Moderate experience in post-production sound design and video editing, along with scoring original soundtracks for artistic design.
