Rowan Flack is an artist “quickly becoming a key figure in the UK jazz and soul renaissance” - Wonderland Magazine. The BRIT School alumna trained in jazz at Trinity Laban Conservatoire and The Edvard Grieg Academy (Norway).
As a Help Musicians recipient, Rowan released “Forest Fires” in February 2024, receiving accreditation from Jazzwise, Notion, Wonderland, Jazz FM, Islington Radio, Resonance FM and Hoxton Radio.
Live dates include support slots for The Malika Collective at Pizza Express Jazz Club Holborn and Ineza Kershschamp for ‘Jazz Breakout Sessions’ at Alfies, Soho. She has headlined Mr Wolfs, Bristol and played at Ellen’s Bar within KOKO.
Following her first release “New Light Dwelling”, Rowan held a two-month residency at Midai Music Jazz Club in Xiamen, China, and played sold-out gigs in Bergen, Norway for the EP launch.
In November, the vocalist was awarded Generate 2024 funding and is set to record new material in a live session in the new year.
As well as collaborating and writing with artists such as Vice Beats (Submotion Orchestra), Francesca Morris, and Nelly Moar (Norwegian Grammy-nominated), the artist presents two radio shows with Hoxton Radio and Morley Radio.
In collaboration with Hoxton, she interviewed artists and DJs such as Coco Maria and Corto Alto at the We Out Here Festival 2024. Rowan is also studying an MA in Broadcast Journalism alongside teaching jazz vocals privately, and vocal classes at The BRIT School and ELAM.
