She also got accepted into VIFF AMP(Vancouver International Film Festival - Music in Film Summit 2023). She is one of the finalists of Apulia Soundtrack Awards and Semi-Finalists of FMC Film Music Contest. Besides, she was accepted into NYU Film Scoring Workshop in April, 2023 and also accepted into Joy Music House Workshop, etc. In addition, She is an official voter for Grammy Awards and she is also a member of Television Academy, the only major organization devoted to the television and broadband screen entertainment industry. Ruiqi is known for her ability of scoring all genres of briefs ranging from retro to modern soundings as a versatile composer. Her recent work includes : Feature film “Brother Unknown”; The popular variety show”American Idol” where she contributed in soundtrack composition, the movie: A Legend, starring Jackie Chan, which was released in 2024. One True Loves, starring Hollywood actor Simu Liu, released in April 7, 2023, the Spanish movie: Mi Otro Jon and Chinese movie “Ba Jiao Long Zhong”(Never Say Never), directed by Baoqiang Wang, which hit more than 700 million box office in July, 2023. A lot of short films she scored were selected into famous film festivals like LA Shorts Film Festival, Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival and Holly shorts Film Festival. In addition, her original music” The Day We Met”, and “Letter From Home” are featured in Apple Podcast. She also composed music for Pubg video game trailer. She is also the composer for music library company Artlist to make different genres of music. Not only is she excelled in film scoring, she is also a pop singer and music producer. She arranged two songs for Hunan TV New Year’s Gala, which is a big show in China each year. Ruiqi went to Eastman School of Music where she gained her Film Composition master degree and studied with Mark Watters, six-time Emmy- Award-winning composer and Jeff Beal, the composer of House of Cards. She is now an orchestrator at Nathan Wang’s studio, based in LA.
