Shortly after moving to Berlin, Matias started studying sound engineering, and after recording several artists, he quickly started combining his own compositions with the creativity of sound engineering by combining traditional and contemporary western harmony with field recordings, synths and folk elements. A big part of Matias identity as well as his artistic practice are related to the memories from his childhood. Everything from films and video games to experiences growing up as a 2nd generation immigrant in Sweden and family reunions in Uruguay and Chile. It is therefore his musical philosophy is to recreate these memories.
