Sometimes there isn’t words that can express what we want to share with others. Art is another language of expression, and I create illustrations to capture emotion, story, meaning. I started drawing when I was a child in foster care, it allowed me to communicate and find a future with art that was not the typical cycle for foster children. I decided to do my best in education after learning about college, while at first wanting to create stories to share and increase awareness about the foster system, I discovered through college, how much more I could help with my art. It can be hard to acknowledge abuse in the foster system, the homeless we pass everyday, the environment and our way of life clashing. I made sure my assignments that I had choice in always had an important message. A short comic about neglectful parents and an important lesson to not judge someone based on their sex. Digital illustrations of a space ship, filling it with plant life and giving it a more organic life rather than just metals. I make my characters with fantasy, but powerful stories relating to human trafficking, morals, and more. With the skills to create, I want to create with purpose. Even if its personal, to express my own anger, happiness, excitement. If it's to help design a tattoo that will have meaning throughout one's life. Every small difference contributes to the larger picture around us. I do not judge and take criticism without offense as I am always growing as an artist to improve my skills and communication.

uniE621 Our Hands are Tied, Coronavirus
This is a drawing I created to represent the coronavirus. The hands have locks around the thumbs making it hard for everyday life. The virus comes from others and spreads, so the hands are giving the virus to the lungs, which I already drew as infected. This isn't the first time a coronavirus emerged, we must always be mindful of the nature around us. coronavirus covid-19 illustration hands virus cell lungs infected struggle

    uniE621 Tomboy in the Country
This is a short comic I created in 10 weeks for a graphic design class. I used part of my own past experiences to create the story but also made it so it was PG-13 so it could be read by a wider audience including teens.
