    Did you know tampons and pads are charged sales tax because they are considered “luxury” items? Periods are certainly not a luxury and I’m sure every woman on the planet would agree. Recently, some companies have been stepping up against unfair pricing and making moves towards  equal pricing for men’s and women’s items. Paying for tampons is a first world problem. But not all women live in the first world, and lack of access to menstrual products is a very real problem for women in less developed countries. FML emergency kit would be provided to women at menstrual equity protests and other events related to female equality, as well as given out to women who cannot afford feminine hygieneproducts, as part of a charity project. It provides hygiene products and general productsthat women find useful during periods. These products can be related to the overall well-being of a woman, taking into consideration both physical and mental state of the woman’s body during menstruation.  branding packaging

    The assignment was to design a conceptual recipe book, based on a topic of choice,applying the typographic principles to express the concept visually.I chose to focus on the recipes that utilize aphrodisiac ingredients. I used sensual photography, delicate body copy type, and fluid type setting, to express the unique qualities of the food. My concept revolved around the masculine and the feminine energies living together on the pages of the book, creating a harmonious and balanced design. To add the masculine feeling to the design, I used a bold sans serif for the chapterbreaks, a more dramatic lighting in food photography, as well as sharp right angles throughout the book pages. editorial graphicdesigner

    Olant is a chain of maternity retail stores and an online retailer, located in Moscow, Russia. Although I worked within the class environment to develop their new brand identity, I later worked with the company to develop their brand further outside of class. I helped Olant’s in-house designers to utilize the brand guidelines and to introduce the new designs into the company.     The objective of this project was to refresh and modernize the brand and packaging design of Bison Beer, while keeping it true to its origins, and representing its brand equity through each individual bottle. To establish Bison as a brand that holds strong to its values, and motivates consumers to join the movement of mindful living. When developing the project I was inspired by the hippie movement. The “Summer of Love” was an important influence in the culture of home brewing and growing organic ingredients. I wanted to emphasize its importance, and made a vibrant design, with elements “organically growing” into each other. branding

    Noneeds is more than a food delivery app. It delivers a box of carefully chosen ingredients for the recipes that you enjoy, and they all come directly from your local farm. The app also provides you with a selection of healthy recipes based on the ingredients that you have. It makes cooking and grocery shopping an experience you want to share with your family. Track your groceries, cook healthy meals, and share your own recipes, all in one place. When developing the design direction, I was inspired by the process of cooking with fresh organic ingredients. I wanted to create a family-friendly app with navigation easy enough for a child. I went for a natural, earthy feeling, while maintaining a fun element with the icons. uidesign branding
