Experienced Writer | Novice Actor | Open to Learn and Develop New Talents | As a graduate of the University of Galway with a Bachelor's in Creative Writing, History and Philosophy, I have had many of my creative works…Experienced Writer | Novice Actor | Open to Learn and Develop New Talents | As a graduate of the University of Galway with a Bachelor's in Creative Writing, History and Philosophy, I have had many of my creative works published. I have previous experience working alongside Galway-based art magazine Tír na nÓg on their most recent physical publication, and have been mentored by renowned Irish writers such as Kate Kerrigan (one woman show "Am I Irish Yet?") and Mike McCormack (acclaimed novelist behind "Solar Bones")- all of which, I believe, have aided in strengthening my artistic and creative knowledge into what it is today. Alongside this, I have also worked with 126 Artist-Run Gallery and Studios previously as both competitor and co-judge of their spoken word competitions in March and then, October of 2021. From June to December of 2024, I was apart of a five-person internship with the gallery, learning the ins and outs of art instillation, fundraising, copywriting and much, much more under the tutelage of local physical and performance artist Emily Lohan. During which, I organised, hosted and performed at my own spoken word competition as a fundraiser for our final exhibition. I worked alongside local Irish poets Francis Lawrence and Caoimhe May to judge the competition, comb through our amazing contestants and decide on a winner. In total, we raised over €200 in profit to pay our artists in our final exhibition which was curated entirely by us, the interns, on December 6th. This, too, ended up being a huge success with over 200 people in attendance. In short, I have always had a love of both written and performance based art. I am thrilled at any and all opportunities to both broaden my artistic knowledge and bring my own writing and performance based knowledge to the table.
