London Repairs is a fictional repair company that needed a logo with a mascot included. Immediately I had thoughts of an icon similar to Mario; he would be simple and recognizable as a repairman and it would add some friendliness to the brand.

HUY was part of a warmup project for a software company looking for someone to make a poster advertising the brand with a focus on the color red.
I decided to keep this project more minimalistic to keep the focus on a sense of “futurism” that would come with a software and tech company. The…HUY was part of a warmup project for a software company looking for someone to make a poster advertising the brand with a focus on the color red.
I decided to keep this project more minimalistic to keep the focus on a sense of “futurism” that would come with a software and tech company. The font used underneath the logo is Courier New and Avenir Next Condensed as the body. Slim and slightly spaced out typography aids in not leaving the lower portion feeling too empty, but also doesn’t make it feel too busy either.
The colors red and white are used as a small nod to HUY’s origins in Japan and to keep the theme clean overall.
