Martheus Wade

A graduate of the University of Memphis, Martheus’ love for pop culture, along with his talent as an illustrator, was a natural fit for maintaining a career as a graphic designer and art director. He began as an intern at Signature Advertising. After completing his internship, Martheus worked as graphic designer for the magazine Dateline Memphis. He quickly landed a job as an art director at Oates Design. After two years at Oates Design, Martheus became art director at Redmond Design, a position he held for five years. Afterwards, Martheus struck out on his own as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator working with companies such as the Radison Hotel, Trust Marketing, Senior Services, The YWCA, The Girl Scouts Heart of the South, Special Olympics, The Heal the Hood Foundation, OrthoMemphis and the Memphis Grizzlies.
Recently, he has illustrated for such titles as Action Man for IDW, Marvel Masterpiece card series, Star Wars Masterpiece card series for Topps/Lucas Film, Bad Girls Club for the Oxygen Network, and illustrated, wrote, and produced a graphic novel for Action Lab and Scholastic Books titled, Shinobi: Ninja Princess. Martheus has also worked as the graphic designer for the Memphis Redbirds, the Triple-A Affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals as well as illustrator for the Memphis Grizzlies NBA team.
