Book Cover Illustration Concept
My most recent digital artwork, cloud chasing is more of a personal project and an attempt to update the illustration side of my portfolio. Created in ProCreate on an ipad Pro, this piece is fully painted in colour. I normally use a greyscale approach to my digital painting, but have been trying to break this habit lately. Golden Knight Illustration
This was a custom illustration created for a game promotion, illustrated in 2020 using ProCreate. My process with this project was to start off with a sketch to convey the initial idea to the client. On approval a final rendering was created in greyscale. This is done to ensure the final artwork has strong contrast and dark/light values. At this stage the final greyscale rendering was presented for feedback, revisions applied, and once the greyscale version is approved a final round of colour is added using a combination of gradient maps and colour layers. Future Oceans Ad Design
Future Oceans International is a pioneering non-profit organization dedicated to advancing oceanic research and conservation initiatives through innovative wearable art and immersive fashion events.
They came to me a while back looking looking for a series of ads, across print and digital, to promote their up and coming fashion show. After being briefed and reviewing their brand guidelines a series of ads were created with a unifying look and feel, tying in with the shows overall theme of nature and ocean conservation. BRB Pets Logo Design
BRB Pets is a Toronto based online pet store that also designs innovative new products for pets. I was contacted a while back when they were initially starting off and asked to design a full branding package, including a logo, Shopify website, and a print brochure to show off their new products.
For the logo process, some initial sketches were created alongside a few colour pallets and font selections. From there a few variations were created in Adobe Illustrator. On Deck Skateboard Graphics
On Deck has been Ottawa’s premiere skate shop since 1988. A while back they approached me to create some custom skateboard graphics for the shop. An initial set of concepts were sketched out, then once a couple were approved the designs were created using a mix of Adobe photoshop and InDesign. I still see some of these decks around my home town.
