I am an illustrator and comic book artist from Ukraine, currently Brighton based. I have a deep interest in psychology, character design and storytelling. I am in love with complex problems in art, from more painterly colours to accurate shading of shapes. I may start my pieces traditionally, but can quickly move to digital when needed. I love working on editorial briefs that challange my way of thinking and utilise the whole range of my creative skills. People have said that my work is quite expressive and that's something I have been mastering for a while now. Although, I tend to work figuratively, I love the challenge of abstract pieces. My roots of Ukrainian academic drawing classes will never stop influencing the way I work and that is something I am proud of.

    uniE621 Big bang theory posters
A poster campaign to commemorate 101 years of Big Bang theory. In this series Kseniia is trying to inform people of different important dates in the history of this theory, as even the first person to mention a concept like that is debated between two scientists. Posters were made from different monoprints and ink blots that she scanned and then edited in Photoshop. The posters illustrate the name of the theory quite well, focusing on the “bang” aspect. Previous versions included portraits of the scientists that contributed the formation of the theory, but as those didn’t fit with the main 3 versions, they were scrapped. uniE621 Musician's comic zine
This zine is a collection of short comics revolving around musicians and music. The printed copy was bound by me using classic japanese style book binding. For most of the comics in the zine I created a risograph-like effect digitally. Each comic was first traditionally drawn and then edited digitally. Presented here is just the cover of the zine and it does not reflect the contents fully. To view the whole projects please go to: https://www.twine.net/signin
uniE621 The colours of these moments
This project's aim was to capture candid moments. Often inspired by black & white pictures- Kseniia added expressive colour to these candid moments. Claude Monet, Feliks Topolski,Joseph Lorusso are some of the many artists that inspired the colours, brushstrokes and fragments chosen for these pieces. Choosing expression over accuracy is hard when an artist has reference, but Kseniia put her feelings into these pieces and it shows. The paintings are all gouache or a combination of gouache and colour pencils.
