I am a graphic designer looking for entry level positions in the industry or work as a freelance designer. I have been working within the book publishing industry for 8 years and have worked on many books designing book jackets, interior layout and typesetting. The genre of book has been incredibly varied and include: memoirs, children’s books, science-fiction, recipe books and business books amongst others. Each book reflected and used each author’s unique style, voice and branding. I work with the Adobe Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. In addition to the design element of publishing, I also work closely in editing, copywriting and proof-reading of books across all sections including endpage matter such as indexing and referencing. I enjoy variation and a fast-paced environments.
