Born in Rome and raised in Toronto, Massimo Amici began his career as a graphic designer and advertising art director. He then transitioned into film and went on to direct his first award-winning short "Acaluma". Additional shorts received prizes in Europe and abroad, including Best Short Film at the Queens International Film Festival in New York. He's made films in the US, UK, Italy, Colombia and Argentina. Self-taught, he wears many hats on and off the set.
